Although SportsStars.net is a relatively new concept, the people behind it have more than 40 years in the sports memorabilia business.

Dave Mona has been a collector for more than 50 years. At one time he and his wife were the largest Field of Dreams franchisee in the nation with seven sports memorabilia stores in major malls from Seattle’s Bellevue Square to the King of Prussia Mall in suburban Philadelphia. During more than a decade as owners and operators of Field of Dreams stores, they bought and sold more than $35 million in sports memorabilia.

Mona has been a panelist and guest speaker at various National Sports Collector Show events and has been quoted as an expert in sports memorabilia in publications ranging from The New York Times to Sports Collectors Digest.

Doug Addison has been vice president of sales for the franchised Field of Dreams operation and six times won awards as the chain’s top salesperson of the year. He has extensive experience in dealing with the acquisition, valuation and sale of top-level sports memorabilia.

Addison also has worked with many professional athletes on how to value and display their game-worn memorabilia.

Together, Mona and Addison have worked with financial planners, accountants, lawyers, agents and insurance companies on topics ranging from divorces to estate planning.
